Sharon's Card Crafts, Swanley, Kent BR8

Evening everyone! Our featured article this week is for "the best thing in Swanley", Sharon's Card Crafts. Behind the humble exterior lies all the papercraft supplies you could ever need. If you need to replenish your glitter stocks before the festive season, and you feel like going on an adventure to Zone 8, then this sounds ideal.

We have a new page for Murger Han in Euston, a cash-only Northern Chinese restaurant serving salty noodles and juicy dumplings, while the page for Khan's Indian restaurant on Westbourne Grove has had an update following a visit. It's reassuring to know they can tell the difference between prawns and king prawns - mollusc knowledge was a tie-breaker on University Challenge the other week, so you never know when you might be called on to identify crustaceans.

Elsewhere, Italian restaurant Enoteca Turi has moved from Putney to Pimlico, while the Ravensbourne Arms in Ladywell has been rather abruptly abandoned by Antic, as they're shortly opening a different pub up the road.

Oval Tavern, Croydon, London CR0

This week, as members of the RGL community prepare to visit the Great British Beer Festival, our featured article is a pub: The Oval Tavern, CR0 6BR in sunny Croydon. It does around five real ales served from the cask, pub quizzes, food, darts, proper locals' pub stuff done well, just like you need sometimes.

We also have three new articles for you. There's Redemption, not the brewery but instead a vegan restaurant in Shoreditch, which I can co-sign on because I have visited myself, though I didn't add it to RGL. But it does tasty food. Note that aside from dairy, honey and other animal products, they are also free of alcohol.

There's also Bloomsbury Farmer's Market, a regular market every Thursday in Torrington Square; and Manor Bar and Grill in Tooting.

We have a significant update to The Prince Arthur in Hoxton, a classic Shepherd Neame pub.

Sadly lots of reported closures this week: The Good Samaritan in Whitechapel; Boho Mexica in Spitalfields; The Duke of Wellington in Marylebone; The Only Running Footman in Mayfair (though it's still a pub, just not gastro, which sounds fine actually); and The Tyburn, a Wetherspoons by Marble Arch.

This week's featured article is Dacre Arms, SE13 5BU, a nice little locals' pub on the Blackheath/Lee borders.

It is quite possibly the best pub for some miles around.

Recent additions to RGL include Le Pain Quotidien on the South Bank. We've also substantially updated the writeup of West Lake in Deptford.

Reported closures are Kiasu in Bayswater, Eastcote Bookshop in Eastcote, Harris's Cafe Rest in Shepherd's Bush, Thai Pavilion East in Lambeth, and Mexicali in Soho.

On the bright side, Green Borders in Leytonstone and Royal Oak (Polly Clean Stairs) in Bexleyheath have both reopened.
