Hello RGLers!

Talking of Antic pubs reminds me that my local, the Red Lion in Leytonstone, have a pop up in the old Leyton Town Hall. It has a twitter account @leytonmunicipal apparently, but I cant find it. Not sure how long it is running for, probably just until after the Olympics at a guess!

Incidentally after lots of changes of chef etc. the Lion appears to have settled on a menu which could do with being reviewed again. Who wants to join me? I find myself eating cheese and tomato toastie more often than not, but at least they have moved on from their veggie offerings being Pie or Pie. :-) They are also CAMRA east london pub of the year, and CAMRA city and east London pub of the year, so worth a visit in any case. Anyone up for it? If a Sat afternoon, note that they have live music and we would need to reserve a table in order to get one after 7pm. And they have just opened a beer garden where they do a barbecue. And they run a craft market every other Saturday, and a quiz night every Monday. See, lots of changes to note and review, who fancies it?

If anyone fancies a trip to the Lion and the Leyton popup, please get in touch. They are about a mile apart, and each about 2 mins walk from consecutive stations, Leyton and Leytonstone. Lion has disabled access, Leyton will if it is on the ground floor, not sure but can find out. I would prefer interested people contact me on twitter, because I dont use dreamwidth much, but if you dont tweet please leave a comment here if you are interested.

I am free from 3pm or so until bedtime (lets say 10 / 11pm) most days.

Cheers!

e2a: er, Im @techiebabe on twitter, in case you cant guess!
